Delete your Manaia account
We make it easy to delete your Manaia account and the data associated with it.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
This is the fastest path and the one we recommend.
- Open the Manaia app on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account enters a 30-day grace period in case you change your mind — sign in again during those 30 days to cancel.
Option 2 — Email us
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@manaia.io from the address registered on your account and include:
- Subject: “Delete my Manaia account”
- The email address on the account
- (Optional) Your device hardware ID if you have it, for faster verification
We’ll confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your account (email, password hash, Cognito user record)
- Your family profile names, avatars, and schedules
- Your device registrations and device fingerprints
- Your DNS query logs and activity history
- Your push notification tokens
- Any Home Lite pairing records and onboarding data
What we retain (and why)
- Billing and tax records— retained for 7 years per Australian Tax Office requirements. Contains invoice amounts and dates; no device or DNS data.
- Aggregated threat intelligence— hashed indicators contributed to our threat feed. Not linkable to you after deletion.
- Audit logs of the deletion itself— retained 90 days so we can prove the request was honoured if asked.
